Three Structures of a Blown Film Machine

The blown film machine is suitable for producing various kinds of high-end packaging films with sound barrier properties, freshness retention, moisture retention, freeze resistance, oxygen resistance, and oil resistance. It can be used for the light and heaving packaging of fresh fruits, meat products, pickles, milk, liquid beverages, and medicine.

Working Principles of a Blown Film Machine

As a kind of plastic production machinery, the blown film machine works by putting the dry polyethylene material into the hopper that will subsequently drop from the hopper into the screw due to gravity and then rotating the plastic to generate a thrust when the particles contact the threaded bevel. The plastic particles on the inclined ridge perpendicular to the plane keep moving forward due to the friction and collision between the plastic screw and particles, the time interval between the plastic and the barrel, and also due to the gradual dissolution caused by external heating. The impurities in the melted plastic are filtered through the screw and filter screen exchanger, extruded through the mold, and cooled by the air ring. The blown film passes through the herringbone plate, traction roller, and winder, and then is finally wound up.

Description of the Three Structures of a Blown Film Machine

  1. Extruder: It consists of a screw, barrel, hopper, gearbox, and drive motor. The drive motor can be an electromagnetic speed-regulating motor or a variable frequency general motor. The motor drives the gearbox through the motor belt to make the screw rotate in the drum. Plastic materials are molten by external heating and discharged from the die gap.
  2. The cooling device is composed of an air ring, air pipe, blower, and other components.
  3. Electronic control unit: The operating unit of a general production line is equipped with a cabinet. By pressing the main power button, the operator can turn on the main motor. The separation button controls the screw, the tee, and the die heater. In the normal production process, the key parts of the heating ring adopt a temperature thermocouple with the automatic temperature control function. In addition, the temperature can be automatically controlled to ensure a stable and reliable production process.
